In our wildest dreams we couldn’t imagine anything like the horror movie IT being linked to a millennial makeup artist… but stranger things have happened.
It all began when James Charles tweeted that he wasn’t enjoying the movie at all, resulting in lead actor Finn Wolfhard dragging him online.
“Okay five minutes in and IT is already awful stay tuned for updates,” James wrote.
“Why are you on your phone in the movie theatre? Rule 1.” Finn wrote, and people were living for the sick burn.
It led to James making an apology video, and then, going on to make a Pennywise makeup tutorial.
This didn’t sit well with fans.
People weren’t happy with James making this tutorial after “hating” the movie, but he hit back with this shady post.
“me sleeping next week when my IT tutorial goes live & half of the views are from angry stans calling me a hypocrite bc I said I hated it.”
Yikes.
Now, another IT child star has called him out. This time, Wyatt Ghouleff.
“when you decide to exploit a movie that you hate for money & attention cause why not,” he wrote.
Wowza.
He continued: “It’s not that I’m trying to be mean or roast anyone here, I get it, it’s just business. Not a big deal. Just how the internet works.”
James obviously saw the tweet, and decided to indulge in a twitter fued.
“I’m not apologising for doing a tutorial my followers asked for I promise sister.”
“I get that and it’s totally fine. Just making a joke here on my end,” Wyatt responded.
“It’s not funny though? I’ve already said a million times you guys killed it in the movie & have apologised, you knew this ‘joke’ was going to result in me getting dragged left and right once again. I have a ton of respect for all of you guys but this is uncalled for,” James replied.
This led to Wyatt to acknowledge James’ initial apology, and ask his fans to chill on the hate.
“Guys, @jamescharles is just doing his job. His fans asked for the tutorial so he gave it. We’re human, we make mistakes. Don’t be a jerk.”
Seriously these kids are so wise beyond their years.
James replied, thanking him… calling Wyatt ‘sister’ which further confused Wyatt.
“brother** but ok,” Wyatt replied. LMAO.
“we’re all sisters down here
,” James responded.
That’s when another star of the movie, Nicholas Hamilton got involved, replying to James’ tweet with, “mmm but stop tho.”
CANNOT deal.
That was a wild ride fam.
