Former Miss Universe contestant Jesinta Franklin has graced runways for years and she’s been the ambassador for countless brands. But, the 27-year-old never set out to be a model! Jesinta actually wanted to pursue a career as a police officer.
Colour us shocked!
“I actually wanted to be a police officer and I still would love to be a police officer,” she told Girlfriend’s Beauty Boss podcast.
“There’s just something about that detective work that just gets me so excited. I would love to be a detective but I also think being a police officer would be such a hard job as well.”
While her aspirations eventually changed, Jesinta revealed that she didn’t chase modeling and it all happened fairly naturally.
“I never grew up thinking that I wanted to be a model,” she said.
“It kind of just naturally happened and that’s what I mean when I say to girls to not make it their number one goal because you want things to grow organically and happen organically and it just did.”
Before she landed in the modeling world, Jesinta took etiquette classes, which eventually lead to her where she is now.
“It was one thing that happened after another from the deportment courses to winning the pageant and then coming back from that,” Jesinta said.
“It just kind of organically grew but I never wrote it down as my goal like when I grow up I want to be a model. It kind of just happened!”
