The internet is dragging James Charles for what he said about Ariana Grande

We saw this coming.

James Charles has had his fair share of controversy since becoming famous(?), and we’re just gonna say it: he MUST have known this was coming.

Yesterday, James uploaded video of fellow YouTuber’s Shane Dawson and Ryland doing his makeup. During it, Shane asked James who the rudest celebrity he has ever met was.

James swiftly responded: Ariana Grande.

He went into detail about how they became Instagram friends, and Ariana had invited him to come backstage to one of her shows… only to be unfollowed a couple of hours later. It was around the same time that James’ controversies (like the Ebola comments) were coming out… so when he asked why Ari unfollowed him, she responded that she didn’t want to upset her fans.

WELL, the fans are definitely upset, but it’s because James has insulted their queen.

Of course, James has seen the backlash and has taken to his Twitter to address it.

“you know that traditional media is failing when you see 4 major news publications write articles on ariana grande unfollowing james charles 🙃,” he wrote.

just watch the damn video and you’ll hear me say how much i love her & her music, i was asked a question and i answered, it was just one unfortunate situation that i said i didn’t blame her for but was upset by lol i don’t understand why this is ‘news'”.

His posts have since been deleted.
