Next month will be one year since Ariana Grande had her concert in Manchester attacked, taking the lives of 22 innocent people.
Our beloved Harry Styles is a Manchester native, so when performing in the city, and the same venue where the bombing occurred, he took the time to pay special tribute to lives lost.
Just like every other night on Harry’s tour, he sang Ariana’s song “Just A Little Bit Of Your Heart.” A track he actually wrote for her.
However, before performing the song, he said some touching words. “I grew up coming to my first concerts in this room. I love this room. The next song that we’re going to play for you I wrote a few years ago, and I gave it to a singer called Ariana Grande… She sang it a few times and now we’re gonna do our version of it for you. And if you can find some way to join in then please do so. I stand with you, Manchester.”
The day after the attack, Harry was performing in Mexico City, where he gave another speech to the crowd.
“I went to my first show in the arena and I’ve had some of the best experiences of my life playing in Manchester. We have a choice, every single day that we wake up, of what we can put into the world, and I ask you to please choose love every single day.”
