Harry Styles was part of the biggest boy band of all time. He’s smashed it as a solo star, with two sold out world tours, and he’s starred in a Christopher Nolan box office hit.
So naturally, a TV show was next on the list.
Harry is officially the “executive producer” on a new CBS sitcom called Happy Together, that will be based on his life… well, semi based on his life.
The show centres on a suburban couple in their 30s whose lives get turned upside down when a pop star comes to live with them.
Sound familiar? The show was actually thought up by Harry’s friend/producer Ben Winston (who produced One Direction’s movie This Is Us).
It was known that apparently Harry actually lived with Ben and his wife after X Factor finished, and he was rising to serious fame.
However, Ben has been receiving quite a lot of hate from certain fans, as they have poked holes in his narrative of ‘Harry living with him’.
“Not trying to fool you at all!” he tweeted. “The idea itself was just inspired by the time he lived with us – but that’s where the reality ends. The characters, storylines and scripts aren’t based on anyone or anything. Hope that clears it up – it’s a good show, hope you enjoy it. x”
Reports also claim that Australia’s own Felix Mallard, who has starred on Neighbours, will be joining the show as the ‘popstar’.
“He’s really keen. He knows that it’s a story based on his life, and he gets to produce a TV show which is fantastic for his career. So I think he really, really does care,” Felix told PEOPLE.
