Game of Thrones fans, prepare a rollercoaster of emotions! HBO’s Westworld has just done a crossover episode with the now-finished GoT… but before you get too excited, guard your heart!
WATCH: Game Of Thrones and Westworld crossover finally revealed
Drogon, which was Daenerys Targaryen’s biggest and baddest dragon, flew away at the end of Game of Thrones, with a dead Dany in his arms.
While we all made up a beautiful scenario in our head of Drogon flying into a Utopia with his Queen, Westworld has just ruined the fantasy for everyone.
Sunday night’s episode of Westworld, titled The Winter Line, saw GoT creators David Benioff and D.B Weiss making a cameo alongside Drogon.
The two creators are lab technicians in the show, where they are OPERATING ON DROGON!
They are literally attacking him with a saw. WE are hurting.
However, one little tidbit of information they let us in on is that the dragon is actually a robot… Now we’re left wondering, is this just HBO’s way of telling us that the entire Game of Thrones universe is in a theme park?
Please, don’t do this to us.
As expected Twitter went offffff!
Westworld’s show creator Jonathan Nolan explained the situation to The Hollywood Reporter, saying that they definitely aren’t going to recreate the GoT world in the show, it was just a harmless easter egg.
“We’re friends with both Dan and David, who are lovely human beings,” Jonathan said. “They have been incredibly supportive and friendly with us as we were getting our show up and running.”
But GoT author George R.R. Martin was pretty keen on the idea of his universe coming back to life again.
“George R.R. Martin (GoT author) as well. George has frequently pitched a crossover episode,” he said. “When the time came for Luke (Hemsworth) and Jeffrey (Wright)’s characters to be wandering around in the bowels of the Mesa, we could not resist.”
Season 3 of Westworld show takes place in the year 2058, when Evan Rachel Wood’s character Dolores (a robot) lives her life in the human world.
