Yesterday, Lauren Jauregui basically confirmed that she is officially dating rapper Ty Dolla $ign, with a series of adorable Instagram photos.
However, fans are now divided over her recent romantic development, and it’s pretty ridiculous.
A large chunk of Lauren’s fans are annoyed that she isn’t dating Lucy Vives, Lauren’s ex-girlfriend who did that “coming-out” shoot together in November 2016.
According to MTV News, the two had been dating at the end of 2016, but they didn’t stay together.
Now fans are commenting things like, “I WANT LAUCY BACK PLS” and posting old photos of the pair together.
But it’s not only Lucy who fans are bringing up. Some are even mentioning Camila Cabello, Lauren’s ex band-mate that fans #shipped as a couple for a really long time.
The two never dated, but it didn’t stop fans from wanting the two to be a thing.

In March 2017, Lauren responded to all the #Camren rumours on Twitter, saying, “No I hate it because it’s invasive, scary, delusional, disrespectful to us both and was never real…Ever.” She added in another tweet, “You never quite become ok with people sexualizing you and your friendships for their sick pleasure. That’s why.”
Luckily, some fans are coming to Lauren’s defence and calling out others who aren’t just happy for her and her new relationship.
“If you care about her let HER BE F-ING HAPPY FOR ONE TIME. I miss Camren too. But we need to stop. It’s her life. She needs to be happy. Leave her alone,” one fan wrote.
It’s important to respect her decisions and allow her to be happy with whoever she is with.
