Last year, three women publicly accused Ed Westwick of sexual assault which sparked major backlash against the former Gossip Girl star.

The case went quiet for a while but Us Weekly has confirmed that the wheels are back in motion.

A spokesperson for the D.A.’s office told the publication that the case was submitted by the Los Angeles Police Department and is currently under review.

Ed has previously denied the allegations via Twitter, writing: “”I have never forced myself in any manner on any woman. I certainly have never committed rape.”

Following the news of Ed’s crimes, production was halted on all his future projects.

The BBC announced that it will not be airing Ed’s BBC special Ordeal by Innocence and his other series White Gold was put on hold.

The BBC said in a statement: “These are serious allegations which Ed Westwick has strenuously denied. The BBC is not making any judgment, but until these matters are resolved we will not include ‘Ordeal by Innocence’ in the schedules. The independent production company making ‘White Gold’ has informed us that Ed Westwick has paused from filming while he deals with these allegations.”
