Instead going into hiding after Demi Lovato’s overdose, her drug dealer is actually sharing details of the night.
Brandon Johnson has actually done an interview with TMZ, where he is revealing chilling details about the night that led up to the overdose that nearly killed her.
According to Brandon, Demi messaged him at around 4 a.m. after partying all night, and asked him to come over because she “wanted to kick it.”
Brandon says that he warned Demi of the pills he was providing her, (Oxycodone), which was laced with an opiate called fentanyl, which happens to be the same drug that killed Prince, Tom Petty and Lil Peep.
“100% she knew what she was taking,” he explains. “I disclosed to her that these are not pharmaceutical; these are aftermarket pills. They’re much stronger. She understood fully. It was unfortunate what happened.”
Jamie Alan, an assistant professor of pharmacology and toxicology at Michigan State University, has explained to Yahoo Lifestyle that “aftermarket pills” are drugs that don’t have “any ‘on the market’ pharmaceuticals and didn’t go through any sort of FDA regulation.”
So they really could have been anything, made by anyone.
Scary.
Brandon continued, “For people to think that there was any misconception on my behalf is absolutely ridiculous. I’m not here to hurt anybody. I care for her very much. She means a lot to me.”
He continued to explain that he didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary when he got to her place, or after she fell asleep.
“When I was with her she was fine for the whole time. When I showed up she was a little drunk. Besides that, nothing out of the ordinary. It happens all the time. We hang out, we do whatever we need to do and she ends up passing out. It was already 7, 8 o’clock at that time. She passed out and I leave as I normally do. [She was] sleeping. I put her under the covers, tucked her in.”
Brandon has called the accident a “wakeup call” for both Demi.
