Cardi B and husband Offset are officially heading for a divorce.
In an Instagram video posted on Cardi’s account, she explains that she has been trying to work through things with her partner, and the father of her child Kulture, but they haven’t succeeded.
She explains how they will remain friends, business partners, and co-parents, but they will no longer be a couple.
The announcement comes only a year after the pair were secretly married in September 2017. Their daughter Kulture was born in January 2018.
“So everybody’s been bugging me and everything, and you know I’ve been trying to work things out with my baby’s father for a hot minute now.
“And we’re really good friends, and we’re really good business partners, and he’s always somebody who I run tot to talk to, and we’ve got a lot of love for each other.
“But things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time.
“It’s nobody’s fault, I guess we just grew out of love, but we’re not together anymore. It might take time to get a divorce and I’m always gonna have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter’s father.”
Their entire relationship was tarnished with rumours that Offset had cheated on Cardi numerous times, so Cardi babes, you’re doing the right thing.
And fans completely agree.
