It comes after Britney’s request to have her dad suspended from her conservatorship was finally granted by a judge last week.

The singer has been under the conservatorship since 2008, with her estate, financial assets, as well as aspects of her personal life having been under the control of her dad.

When details of the situation became public in 2019, the internet started #FreeBritney, a movement with the aim to raise awareness about what was happening to her. You can read more about it here.

And while her dad has finally been removed from it, the fight is still not over yet.

To determine whether or not her conservatorship will come to an end, a hearing has been set for November 12. In the meantime, the conservatorship is still in place.

There have also been recent reports that if it finally does come to an end, Britney might never perform again.

According to TMZ, someone close to Britney said that she no longer wants to perform, and has been thinking about it for quite some time.

And, after all that she’s been through, having to perform non-stop for years under the conservatorship, we don’t blame her.
