A tweet about the name has sent the fandom into a frenzy, after they came to the realisation that different continents were pronouncing their fave bands name differently.

The Late Late Show staff member Ian Karmel wrote on Twitter, “The British call Blink-182 ‘Blink One Eight Two; and I’m not saying that’s WHY they lost the Revolutionary War, but…”

Um… no.

“We don’t have TIME for the extra syllable we’re too busy trying to fix brexit,” one British fan wrote.

“This will be the raging river our friendship cannot bridge.”

Thankfully, after the fandom tore each other apart, an actual member of the band chimed in to settle the debate.

Tom Delonge wrote, “It’s actually- Blink eighteen-two,” he wrote. “People have gotten this wrong for years. Sometimes this can happen with very complex, thoughtful and elevated art,” he added.

How do you say it?
