By now, everyone has heard about Pepsi’s controversial ad starring Kendall Jenner, which they’ve now pulled after being accused of (and SLAMMED for) mocking the Black Lives Matter movement.

So how’s Kenny handling all the ~intense~ backlash? Apparently the supermodel is “devastated” because she’s never been a part of something that’s caused so much outrage.
“This is the first controversial campaign she has been involved with,” a source dished to Entertainment Tonight. “Even though she had nothing to do with the production and the message of the campaign, she will be blamed for this since she is the face.”
And they’re not wrong. Kendall has actually been the target of A LOT of the hate but the insider reckons the scandal won’t ruin her career, adding: “This is not a career breaker for her.”
Although the reality star hasn’t commented on the controversy yet, she has deleted ALL traces of campaign from her socials. And since she was reportedly paid MILLIONS for the ad, she’s contractually obliged to stay silent unless Pepsi give her permission to speak out.
“The original intent of the commercial was to mirror all the global protests trying to make this world a more equal place for everyone,” the tipster continued. “But they shouldn’t have had a celebrity face tied to it if they wanted to try and send a strong message like this.”
Apparently Kenny didn’t even have “approval rights” in her contract, which is probably why Pepsi also apologised to her for dragging her into this mess. “Kendall relied on Pepsi to do their due diligence and trusted that it would tasteful,” the source added.
Meanwhile, another insider spilling to People said: “Kendall would have been absolutely mortified. Anything offensive is just not her. She means well, always.”
Poor Kenny! Her heart was obviously the right place being a part of this but Pepsi just got it ALL wrong. What do you guys think about the whole thing??
