Fans are currently super mad at Ansel Elgort for showing online support and love for rapper XXXTentacion, who is currently being charged for domestic abuse.
Unfortunately, Ansel had no idea about the charges, and was only replying to an Instagram story of his.
Ansel tweeted out XXXTentacion’s Instagram story in which he wrote, “Just want to feel…. loved..”. Ansel screenshotted and posted the image along with the caption, “We do love you @xxxtentacion you’re an artist.”
Ansel soon deleted the tweet, after people began pointing out XXXTentacion’s past history of sexual and domestic violence.
Last October, XXXTentacion was charged with aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness-tampering.

After a fan DM’d Ansel explaining why he might be getting a lot of backlash for the photo, he replied saying he had no idea about the charges.
“Damn I just heard his music and liked it I didn’t know he did that stuff. I took it down when I saw the responses and figured something must have been wrong.”
Although he deleted the tweet, some fans are still pretty annoyed with Ansel.
