We know, our favourite bae’s Michael Clifford, Ashton Irwin, Calum Hood and Luke Hemmings have been promising new 5 Seconds Of Summer music forever, but now it’s FINALLY coming.
The boys have started leaving signs of a return on their Twitter profile, like changing their header photo, posting what looks like a BTS shot of a photoshoot, and starting the hashtag #5SOS3ISCOMING.
The band even tweeted a link to their official website, which is for some reason broken RN, although it reads:
“THE PAGE YOU ARE LOOKING FOR NO LONGER EXISTS. WE ARE CURRENTLY WORKING TO FIX THIS ISSUE SO PLEASE BE PATIENT. IF YOU WANT TO STAY UP-TO-DATE ON THE PROGRESS YOU CAN SIGN UP HERE. WE WILL HOPEFULLY BE BACK SOON!”
Some fans have picked up on the words in that text that are italicised, wondering if maybe it’s some sort of hint to a new song: “Want You Back”.
Ashton also wrote a long letter to fans about what’s to come.
“The time that has passed between the second album and the upcoming third album has been an incredible time of growth, in every sense of the word,” he began. “Writing this I am overwhelmed and I can’t begin to explain the intense elation & nervousness I feel toward showing you what we have been writing and creating…family, partners, love, loss, music and everything in between. […] As always I hope you adore what is coming.”
We’ve never been more excited in our lives.
