Sick of waiting for new Snapchat filters to be released? Wait no further ‘coz you can now create your very own customised Snappy filters!
The powers that be recently announced that users will be able to make their own selfie filters by using the Lens Studio software available on the Snapchat app.
Mashable reports that there will be seven new templates on Lens Studio, giving peeps loads of selfie filter options.
These lenses will be made available on a new section of the app called Discover, which you’ll be able to browse whenever Snapchat highlights its most popular lenses.
Users can then swipe up to unlock a lens while tapping through the story. Lens creators can also share Snapcodes that can be used to unlock the lenses.
Snap is also launching a new “Official Creator Program” for its top lens creators. Those who are part of the program will get extra support from Snap and are more likely to have their creations featured by the company.
