The iPhone 8 Back Glass Is Gonna Be More Expensive To Fix Than The Screen

Bad news for people who have a habit of dropping their phone!

Do you find yourself dropping your phone all the time? Well of course you do! It’s hard balancing your iPhone, your latte and your Girlfriend mag all at once.

And if you plan on purchasing the iPhone 8, you’re at the risk of smashing more than your screen if your phone hits the dirt.

While the device might look V similar to the iPhone 7, it actually includes an all-glass back, meaning that if you drop it, the back glass might shatter as well.

You’re definitely not gonna wanna do that though because according to AppleInsider, AppleCare+ classes a broken back screen as “other damage” which costs $149 to fix as opposed to the front screen which costs $45.

You’ll only be charged that price twice, after which you’ll have to pay for the full cost of the repairs which is waaaaay more.

Also bear in mind that this doesn’t include the cost of AppleCare+, which will be $189 for the iPhone 8 and $229 for the iPhone 8 Plus.

And if you’ve got your eyes set on the iPhone X, you’re gonna have to pay an extra $299 for the insurance product.

Although Apple will be using their strongest glass ever to make the phone, we still recommend ~extreme~ caution to avoid smashing and having to pay through the nose.

Just sayin’!
