This may seem like no big deal, but the way American wages work, it is a big deal. Especially because tips are mandatory. One Instagram account explains it well:
"A 20% tip on that tab would be at least $4.50. It's not like it was a $1 tip where it wouldn't even be worth it. So disrespectful.
For those not in the US: in the US, bartenders and servers get paid below minimum wage, usually around $2-3 an hour, because as a tipped employee tips are meant to make up for the difference. It encourages the employee to give the best service they can. If you don't tip you're literally shorting them $. It's extremely disrespectful."
Kendall's reported income in 2016, according to Forbes, was $17 million, so a TINY tip wouldn't exactly put her out.
What makes the matter even worse is that three years ago to date, Kendall came under fire for being excruciatingly horrible to a waitress.
She was 18, having dinner at Mercer Kitchen in NYC with Hailey Baldwin, when she attempted to skip the bill completely.
"Kendall got up and left and didn’t pay for all the food . . . about $60 worth, and without a tip," the source revealed.
Her waitress who was Blaine Morris (Betty Nardone on MTV’s Skins), ran outside to ask Kendall to pay her bill.
"Kendall and Hailey started laughing," the witness said.
"Kendall took a couple of $20 bills out of her wallet, threw them at the server and walked away, not even counting if it was enough or if it included a tip."
Blaine went on to tweet about the encounter afterwards:
"That horrible moment you chase a Kardashian down the street because she forgot to pay her bill to be thrown money in your face."
The internet is having a field day roasting her...
