On September 7, Maclcom McCormick (Mac Miller) was found dead by an apparent drug overdose in his San Fernando Valley home.
While the world is still mourning his death, details surrounding the event have emerged.
Law enforcement sources have told TMZ that Mac was dead for hours before someone discovered his body in his bedroom and called 911.
Apparently, Mac held party at his home into the early morning hours the day he died, however paramedics didn’t arrive to his house until around noon that same day.
He was pronounced dead on the scene, and police noted that the house appeared to be thoroughly cleaned of all signs of drugs.
Medical examiners have conducted an autopsy on Mac's body in order to determine the official cause of death, however the results are still pending. They will have to wait several weeks for toxicology testing to be completed.
“The autopsy was completed and a cause of death has been deferred pending additional tests,” Los Angeles County coroner’s spokeswoman Sarah Ardalani said. “His body has been released.”
A coffin containing Mac's body has reportedly been sent on a plane from Los Angeles to Pittsburgh, his hometown, where his funeral will be held later this week.
