While appearing on Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Nina a fan question, "Are you satisfied with how The Vampire Diaries ended?"
"I think the show had a satisfying, awesome [ending]—for me it was great, because I got to go back and be a part of the finale, say goodbye and pay homage to the characters," she said. "So, I was really happy with it, for sure."
While on the show, she also discussed her friendship with ex, and co-star Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore). A fan asked her if it was weird that she remains friends with him, and his wife Nikki Reed.
"I don't think that's weird at all. I think that's great. I think why can't everyone be friends? I think that they have a beautiful baby and they are happy and so am I. What's bad about that? I don't see any problem with that."
