While we're loving all the new characters like Hope and Landon, there's nothing better than seeing a familiar face from the OG series.
Zac Roegrig (Matt Donovan) and Matthew Davis (Alaric Saltzman) are series regulars, but now Nina freaking DOBREV has weighed in on returning to reprise the iconic Elena Gilbert.
Speaking to TV Guide, Nina admitted that she'd love to, but she's super busy RN.
"I have a full-time job here, so I don't know that I can," she told the publication "But I'm excited and happy to see that the show is living on, and it's a testament to the show itself that people love it so much and have a hunger for it and have an appetite that they need to satiate. So spin-off after spin-off — that means it's a good thing... Julie Plec is the new Shonda Rhimes; she has like 95,000 shows on the air. She's a force."
So true.
Fans recently got their hopes up for Paul Wesley's return also (Stefan Salvatore). While the rumours spread, Paul shut them down telling TV Guide, "Absolutely, 100 percent not. Stefan is forever dead."
Ouch.
Nina is currently filming Fam, which premieres in January, and in case you missed it, Paul surprised her while promoting the show recently!
