“I tried to find a poem that I could send to you. Because my words were failing me,” Lili Reinhart wrote alongside a photo of Cole. “But I searched and found nothing that did you justice.”
“All of these love poems can’t get it right. No one else’s words could ever fit. They haven’t known the fortune it is to love you,” the 22-year-old actress wrote, labeling the message a “sappy nighttime birthday poem for @colesprouse.”
Lili decided to post another dedication to her boyfriend on her Instagram story, taking a lighter approach for the Riverdale star.
She posted a photo of Cole and his twin brother Dylan on her story, hilariously cropping Cole out of the photo, writing, "Happy birthday baby”.
Last week, reports came out that the pair had split up after a reliable source overheard Cole speaking out it at a Comic Con party in San Diego over the weekend of July 20.
It didn't help that videos began to emerge from the event showing Cole and Lili arguing in most interviews they had for Riverdale.

Like we said, icy!
People even reported that their break up was "really messy".
"Their friends didn’t really expect them to last in the long-run," a source told the publication. Apparently, "their personalities are very different and their lifestyles often clashed."
According to People's source, "things have felt super heavy in the relationship for a while, and it got to be too much," which is why they have allegedly broke up.
E! News also reports that the breakup was "very messy," but because they are on the same television show together, things needed to be handled carefully. "They’re both very professional though and trying to be as amicable and friendly as possible," says the source.
However, it became clear that their initial split actually happened a while ago, which they revealed in their cover of W Magazine.

The couple shared the photo of them posing together for the publication as their first comment on their 'break up', instantly dispelling the rumours.
"BREAKING: A reliable source has confirmed that none of you know shit.", wrote Lili.
Cole shared similar sentiments... "UNPRECEDENTED: Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart consume the flesh of ‘reliable sources’ to fuel their bacchanalian sex cult.".
The actual article from that photoshoot had direct quotes claiming that the duo decided to "part ways romantically", as E! News reported.
The cover shoot was done in May, meaning that the pair definitely was going through some difficulties during that time... but damn, they've come back stronger than ever and ever which is a MAJOR delight for fans of #Sprousehart and #Bughead.
It was especially good news for the Riverdale cast, who are not only close friends with the couple but didn't want to see the pair break up.
Madelaine Petsch, who plays Cheryl Blossom on Riverdale, was the first to tell the world how awesome her the cast thought Sprousehart's clapback about their alleged break up was.
Speaking to Access, she said, "I love them. I don’t even know how they come up with this stuff. I was so in awe of that moment.
"I knew they were shooting a cover of W, I did not know it was gonna go in that direction," Madelaine added. "And then with that caption, I (was) blown away. I loved it. We all got on the group text like, 'Oh my god! That was so cool!'"
We couldn't agree more!
