What is dark mode?
Dark mode is a display setting for your phone, apps, laptops, and just about anything and every these days.
And what it means is that instead of having the standard white background (which can be a bit too bright for some people) and black text or features, you can go for a dark or black screen with white text and features.

How do you get dark mode on Snapchat?
Now, while Snapchat has gone ahead and activated dark mode for many users, some seem to have been given a miss, but luckily, it's super easy and simple to get dark mode on Snap yourself:
- First and foremost, make sure your Snapchat app is updated to the latest version.
- Then, click on your Snapchat profile pic.
- Go to "settings."
- Then scroll down to "app appearance" and click on that.
- Then you'll see three options: "Always Light," "Match System," and "Always Dark."
- Choose one that suits you and you're done!
Now a quick explainer on each of the three options, "Always Light" will keep your Snap display the same as it was before, or, you can have "Match Systems", which will match your display to the one you've chosen for your phone.
For example, if you've chosen to have "Dark" on your entire iPhone display, Snapchat will match it to that. And as for "Always Dark", well that would be your "dark mode".
What if I can't find dark mode on my Snapchat?
If your Snap isn't giving you those three options of changing your display, then just make sure you've updated it in the app store and try again.
It's also unavailable yet to Android users, buuuut, Snapchat will hopefully change that when it rolls out the feature very soon.
