Now, thanks to Facebook, it is!
Online shopping always holds the risk of something not fitting, or with makeup, possibly ordering the wrong shade.
However, Facebook is combining the use of augmented reality with online shopping, so you can now pick the right nude lipstick or the correct shade of foundation with ease!
How does it work? Just by using your front-facing camera.
TechCrunch reports that FB will roll out the feature this year, which will be integrated into ads from various brands.
"People traditionally have to go into stores," Ty Ahmad-Taylor, vice president of product marketing for Facebook's global marketing solutions told the publication. "People still really love that experience, but they would like to try it at home - so this bridges that gap."
This is the future, fam.
And it's not just with makeup either. People will be able to try on clothes and accessories too. Michael Kors was actually the first brand to use this feature, which allowed people to try on their sunglasses with the app.
"We see augmented reality as an emerging and important part of our customer-centric mobile strategy," Michael told BuzzFeed News in a statement.
"We know our customer is highly visual, and we are always looking for ways to deliver experiences that are not only unexpected but relevant, personalized and useful to her in her shopping journey."
As of now, brands such as Sephora, NYX Cosmetics, and Bobbi Brown will be among the first to release the "Tap to Try On" feature.
