Now we've learned more about not just one, but TWO NEW CHARACTERS!
Last week it was revealed that Riverdale was casting for the role of Evelyn Evernever.
Now there's news that they're also looking for the perfect actor to play Evelyn's father, Edgar.
It looks like Edgar will be the same person Polly Cooper mentions helped her get over Jason Blossom's death.
And while it hasn't been said outright, we all know Polly is in a weird cult (aka 'the farm') and that things are about to get dramatic AF.
Here's the casting call that went out last week:
[EDGAR EVERNEVER] Male, Late 30’s – Early 40’s, Open Ethnicity. A recent arrival in Riverdale with his daughter Evelyn, Edgar is a new-age health “guru” who has helped Alice get her life together after the events of Season Two. He’s attractive, in a neighborly way, and charismatic—a wise, comforting presence. (An actor with ‘90’s-2000’s pop-culture cachet is a plus.) MAJOR RECURRING GUEST STAR.
Edgar sounds suspicious AF and we are so here for it!
Edgar's daughter Evelyn will also be joining him in Riverdale and is described as 'etherial, omnipresent and otherworldly.'
This definitely spells trouble for the Cooper family (srsly what doesn't!?) as Evelyn will be spending her time in Riverdale doing whatever she can to get closer to Betty. ALSO V SUSPICIOUS.
Whatever happens, we are seriously pumped for season 3. Bring on October 10!
