Contouring may have been all the rage in 2015, but you'll be sad to hear all those hours of YouTube tutorials watched are going to be wasted soon because the beauty trick is being replaced by the low-key version; nontouring. Nontouring is favoured by supermodels Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, marking it as the makeup trend for the next-generation.
Celeb makeup artist Renee Sanganoo explained the new trend to MarieClaire.com: "Instead of a heavy contoured look, non-touring is very soft. It's about dewy and glowy skin—you don't want the skin to look super matte or dry. It's kind of like Spanx for the skin. You know you're wearing it, but no one's supposed to see it. In the summer, people are outside more and they tend to wear lighter foundation. It just looks more natural."
The how-to part is really very simple: use a light primer, follow with a dewy tinted moisturiser and then subtly apply highlighter to your cheekbones, bridge of your nose and brow bones. Ta-da! You're nontoured!
