YouTube beauty queen Nikkie de Jager, best known as NikkieTutorials, has shared her first video after she and her fiancé were robbed at gunpoint in their own home.
While the Dutch makeup artist admits there’s “a very ongoing investigation” happening right now so she can’t say much about what happened, she wants fans to “know that I’m okay.”
“In these years, I got to do some amazing things, but also share some of my darkest days… and I can tell you today is one of those dark days,” de Jager said while holding back tears.
“I may not look like I’m okay, but I’m okay,” she said in the video. “It’s very surreal but it also puts a lot of things into perspective.”
“Now more than ever, you realise that family is everything and being in good health is even more important.’
“Maybe one day, I’ll be able to tell you everything, but right now, it’s impossible [because] of my mental state but also the law… We’re trying everything to make this right.”
The beauty makeup influencer then showed off a mystery Barbie Colour Reveal doll she recently bought and created a makeup look inspired by the barbie doll inside the box. For her eyes, she drew inspo from the doll’s Tiffany blue bathing suit with shades of pink, lilac and lavender. And, for the rest of the face, a peachy blonde blush for the cheeks, matched with a hot pink lipstick in a similar tone to the doll’s hot pink heels.
