A new tattoo isn’t exactly breaking news for Miley Cyrus. The singer already has a growing collection of small and large ink, and it’s not surprising to find out the newlywed adds to it almost fortnightly. However, the latest ink of Cyrus’ might just be her most divisive yet.
On Tuesday, the 26-year-old shared a series of photos of herself showing off the tattoos on her arms, one of which appeared to be taken at a tattoo parlour.
New York-based artist Bang Bang shared an Instagram story of Cyrus wearing the same outfit and splayed across his parlous as she got a new addition to her body art. But, despite the upper body focus of the newlywed’s series of photos, Cyrus actually got the new ink on her ankle.
In true Miley fashion, the Nothing Breaks Like A Heart songstress got a timely term written across her ankle: “pussy”.
Cyrus is yet to explain the meaning behind the tattoo, but it’s safe to assume the activist is reclaiming the often derogatory word as one of female power.
