Kylie Jenner has just launched ner new cash cow Kylie Skin… however, it’s off to a rocky start.
One of the first products revealed is a walnut face scrub, with Kylie claiming it’s her “secret to a fresh face,” however the beauty industry KNOWS the history of St. Ives walnut-infused Fresh Fash Skin Apricot Scrub that was incredibly abrasive.
It’s been well-known to stay away from this type of scrub as it may cause micro-tears in the skin and irritation.
WATCH: Kylie Jenner promotes her new walnut face scrub:
“Omg not WALNUT Kylie the girls have been dragging St. Ives for 10 years now lol read the ROOM,” one user wrote.

One fan shared a quote from Dr. Dennis Gross, saying, “Scrubs are a primitive way to exfoliate. it’s like using sandpaper on your face.”
Another even brought up text from the St. Ives lawsuit, which stated that “walnut shell powder creates microscopic tears in the top layer of skin.”
Even Aestheticians got involved, writing about the side effects of using a walnut scrub on your face.
“Your skin may look great now,” one wrote, “but the sensitivity & post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation will come eventually with consistent usage.”
The self gratifying results from walnut scrubs are really short lived. Your skin may look great now, but the sensitivity & post inflammatory hyperpigmentation will come eventually with consistent usage. https://t.co/cri3TouPlp

For effect, another fan shared photos of micro-tears they can cause:
As expected, the popular Beauty watchdog Estée Laundry weighed in on their Instagram account.
“#Laundrites, what are y’alls thoughts on #KylieSkin? So far we’ve yet to see an ingredient list yet but they’ve mentioned the face scrub includes walnut particles-a fancier version of the #StIves scrub?🤔 #AbrasiveAF #GlossierMuch #WheresTheTransparency,” they wrote.
Interestingly, Kylie didn’t even use the scrub in her promo video.
Can we see Kylie use the walnut scrub in the next video? https://t.co/igTVkBBMBt

DO NOT use walnuts on your face! Walnuts are too abrasive for sensitive face skin and will create microtears in your face. Kylie’s secret to a fresh face is being a billionaire. https://t.co/cNI1MwToc1
