The makeup world is full of mystery, mostly because there always seems to be some sort of feud between influencers kicking off, and today is no exception.
To nobody’s surprise, Jeffree Star has found himself in yet another feud, this time with 21-year-old makeup guru Thomas Halbert.
Thomas posted a video this week, called “Racism, Sexism, and Silence,” where he calls out Jeffree for using the N word.
“A big reason why I didn’t speak out when I should’ve spoken out is because I was scared. I could’ve completely cut him off, but it scared me for some reason; I let his power scare me,” Thomas explained.
Thomas doesn’t use Jeffree’s name in particular, but it is incredibly obvious that it is him he’s talking about, which Jeffree picks up on.
In true Jeffree form, he didn’t let it slide, instead, addressing it on Twitter.
“Dear @ThomasBeautyy, I’m confused by watching your new video… you smartly don’t mention my name, because lies and defamation of character is illegal and I know you are afraid of the consequences… But you insinuated my name, so I’m going to respond…”
“Let me set up the REAL story for everyone… Thomas AKA the fakest woke attention seeking person on the planet Halbert came over to my house over a month ago. The purpose of this meeting, was to fix all our beef and put our past issues behind us… I welcomed him into my home.”
“We talked through all of our problems, said sorry to each other and squashed all our personal beef… We touched on certain subjects, he asked me candid questions about things I had said in the past, racism, my ex friends etc. I answered every question truthfully.”
“He continued to try to talk about drama and my exfriends, and I had no idea at the time that he was texting Manny and Laura while sitting on my couch. That can be 100% confirmed by @gabrielzamora and when I learned about this betrayal weeks later, I immediately confronted him.”
Jeffree then revealed screenshots of text messages sent between him and Thomas, which proves that Thomas actually did go behind his back to contact Manny MUA.
“It’s been about 2 months since I’ve talked or seen Thomas,” Jeffree tweeted. “He uploaded a video blatantly lying, saying I (he didn’t have the guts to say my name) said something ‘racist’ in front of him, KNOWING it will stir and make a lot of people question me again because of my past. For anyone who hates drama and tea, this isn’t ‘TEA’ and entertainment. This is my actual LIFE and I will NEVER allow some punk b*tch to lie on my name and discredit me because he got rejected. GROW THE F*CK UP.”
Thomas later jumped online to apologise, for being “manipulative, too faced and shady behind closed doors.” But he didn’t take back the statement about Jeffree using the N-word in his presence, claiming that was “100% true.”
Drama.
