We might now be able to be besties IRL but we can get Zoella to sort out our friendship dramas. Here’s her best advice on what to do when faced with some pretty awks sitches.
You find out a friend has been talking about you behind your back – and it ain’t pretty.
“Maybe try talking to your friend and work out what has actually been said. It’s much better to talk openly with you friends, gossiping about what ‘may’ have been said might actually make the situation worse!”
Your best friend mentions she has a crush on the same guy as you.
“That’s a really tricky one! Speak with your friend and try to work out where to go from there, maybe you can both just admire him together from afar! Haha.”
Two of the friends in your group have a big fight – and they’re asking you to pick a side.
“I would tell your friends that you love them both, and hate to see them fighting!”
You give your friend honest advice (which she asked for), but she gets angry at your response.
“It might be that she wasn’t ready to hear your honesty, so it could be hard for her to hear. Maybe give her some space, and I’m sure she’ll eventually appreciate your help!”
Your best friend breaks up with her boyfriend, you tell her everything you didn't like about him… but then they get back together.
“If there were lots of reasons why you didn’t like him, and they’ve already broken up once, perhaps he isn’t the right guy for her! Try to look after your friend though, only she will be able to make that decision, so try to be supportive of whatever she chooses to do!”
A girl in your group starts dating your ex.
“Normally the saying ‘sisters before misters’ comes into play here, is that really what good girl friends do? Unless you really don’t mind, and you can just be happy for them!”
Your best friend is making bad life decisions and you’re worried about her.
“It might be a good time to give her some advice! Friends look out for friends, even when they make bad choices, so maybe nicely suggest to her that she might want to rethink what she’s doing!”
You and one of your closest friends want to wear the same dress to THE party of the year.
“Give her a compliment, you clearly both have great taste!”
Your best friend becomes good friends with a girl who has always bullied you.
“You just have to treasure your friendship with your friend, and accept she can make friends with whoever she wants to, that doesn’t mean you have to be their friend too!”
A girl in your group keeps putting you dissing you.
“I would speak to her honestly and tell her she is upsetting you. She might not even realize she’s doing it!”
Your friendship group is "freezing you out"
“Maybe they aren’t the right friends for you! Make sure you surround yourself with people that make you happy and bring out the best in you!”
