If you remember a few earlier episodes from Riverdale season one, then you may recall that time Betty Cooper turned into 'Dark Betty', and nearly cooked/drowned Chuck in a spa.
It suggested that Betty has another side to her, one which wasn't really explored further in the first season.
But, as show runner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has already explained, season two will take a much darker turn, and we think that means they will delve a little deeper into that side of Betty.
Now, actress Lili Reinhart has shared an Archie comic drawing of her character and Jughead, her boyf, which is making us think he dark side may hurt him!
#Bughead shippers, look away now.
Lili gave nothing away with the "👀 " caption, but from what we can see in the drawing, it looks like Betty - whose face is darkened - has pushed Jughead through a glass door. He has shards of glass stuck in his arms, hurt on the floor, while saying, "Betty... Think about this, man."
We know it's Jughead from his iconic crown beanie.
Well, if this is some sort of foreshadowing, we are NOT OKAY!!!
The last we saw of the pair was in the season finale. They had just confessed their love for one another, and were ~getting it on~ when the Southside Serpents turned up to Jughead's place, interrupting them. Because Juggie's dad FP Jones didn't dob them in to the police, they inducted Jughead into their gang, presenting him a leather jacket.
Betty looked eternally worried when he accepted the jacket, making us wonder if the Serpents will eventually get in the way of their love.
