People Are Srsly Pissed At The Reason Why Selena Gomez Didn't Attend The VMAs
Yesterday we were all waiting with bated breath for our girl Selena Gomez and her bae The Weeknd to walk the VMAs red carpet arm-in-arm as both singers were nominated for awards.
But after all that anticipation, they were both a no show and peeps were devastated.
But that devastation turned into pure rage when people found out that the reason why Sel didn't attend was because she was busy working on her upcoming film directed by controversial director Woody Allen.
The singer/actor recently came under fire when it was announced that she'd be working with Allen as the director was accused of sexually abusing his adopted daughter when she was seven years old and despite denying the claims, the 81-year-old is still surrounded by controversy.
Her disappointed fans pointed out the fact that she's part of a show that depicts the dangers of bullying and rape (13 Reasons Why) yet she still chose to work with an alleged rapist.
And skipping the VMAs for the film just ticked people off even more!
Guess Sel didn't think this one through all the way...
