The former Gogglebox star made a splash on 'I'm A Celeb', winning over audiences enough to make it to the top five on the show.
Angie confirmed she wasn't returning to Gogglebox because she was moving out of her and Yvie's home, though rumours ran riot at the time that the real reason for the 'sacking' was the duo appearing on a rival network for another reality show.
Foxtel's TV director Brian Walksh told TV Tonight that the production company was 'upset' with the girl's decision.
“From a promotional point of view, the issue that upsets Foxtel is the exploitation of the Gogglebox brand to market and sell another program."
Proving herself to be quite the firecracker, future bachelorette Angie Kent said of Brian's comments: "I gave up four years of my life — eight seasons. We brought home three Logies. If Brian wants to be disappointed with us going into the jungle, that’s his choice. I still very much love Gogglebox and will always support it, but I’m a big girl and I wanted to spread my wings. When I’m A Celeb popped up, I thought why the hell not do something that Gogglebox couldn’t offer me?”
Channel Ten are not giving us much time to breathe between Matt Agnew's The Bachelor season and 29-year-old Angie's Bachelorette season, with the reality TV show set to air on Septemeber 24, just one week after Matt hands out his final rose.
