“I used to think that my life was a tragedy,” Arthur says in the trailer, as we see him transform into his alter ego, the Joker. “But now I realize it’s a comedy.”
Yikes.
The trailer gives us a shot of the fictional psychiatric hospital Arkham Asylum, while playing Nat King's "Smile" in the background.
Joker also stars Zazie Beetz, Frances Conroy, Marc Maron, Bill Camp, Glenn Fleshler, Shea Whigham, Brett Cullen, Douglas Hodge and Josh Pais.
