Tom Holland has spun himself a web of trouble during a trip to South Korea to promote Spider-Man: Homecoming.
During an interview on the live "V-Life" broadcast, the 19-year-old told the interviewer Eric Nam that he was impressed by his knowledge of the English language.
“You speak great English, though, man. How did you learn English?"
Eric, who was talking to Tom in English and translating the conversation into Korean due to technical difficulties with subtitles, then told Tom that he's actually American and recently learned to speak Korean.
After the interview was broadcasted, loads of people took offence to Tom's questioning of why Eric speaks such great English.
As the hateful, accusatory comments started pouring in, loads of Tom Holland fans stepped in defend the star, claiming that it was a misunderstanding on Tom's part and no racism was actually intended.
Couldn't have said it any better than that last tweet, TBH.
