The trend, which originted from fashion influencer Nava Rose (@the.navarose) in a video released on the 23rd of May, features people showing off their best fits using clothes and accessories all from one colour, to the tune of Madison Rose’s “Rainbow Phone.”
In Rose’s original clip, the fashion icon styles a hot pink ‘90s fit—a hot pink blazer, zebra printed turtleneck, booty shorts, sneakers, fuzzy handbag with a chain handle and cute landline phone accessory—before cutting to a fiery red moment—a cropped blazer, flame printed leather miniskirt, thigh high black boots, a red beret, Cheetos purse and gold chain necklace—and several other colours.
Then, we have Tiffa G (@tiffagtv) who starts with a baby pink fit—a baby pink shoulder-length wig, a pink crop top with off-the-shoulder lace sleeves, a pleated mini-skirt, a loose golden chain belt and hot pink sneakers—moves to a violet drip—ft. a violet waist-length wig, purple sports bra, purple cheetah-print pants and purple-tinted sunglasses—and ends in a cute multicoloured bikini-top dress.
And, not gonna lie, all of these looks are super stylish and cute, and give us major monochromatic inspo. Including, ofc, every other TikTok video on the trend as seen below.
