These are the 5 rules to live in the Hype House

Could you live there!? - by Emma Norris
  • 04 May 2020

Honestly, living the Hype House sounds like a total dream.

You get to hang out with other cool AF people all day (and let's be honest, some cute ones too) earn money as a TikToker and...oh yeah, you also get to live in a freakin' LA mansion!

BUT, as we've all heard, the Hype House life ain't just about playing pranks and chilling in the pool. It's hard work, and comes with some pretty serious ground rules too if you want to live there full-time.

Ever wondered whether you could live in the Hype House? These are the 5 golden rules, according to the site Dankanator.

1. You have to produce content every day

Yep, this one is a bit of a no-brainer — it's called the TikTok factory for a reason! The Hype Housers have to be churning out the quality content, day in and day out. Because at the end of the day, it's all about the views!

2. No parties allowed

What!? This one surprised us! But given that many of the people in the Hype House are under the US drinking age of 21, we guess it makes sense that no big parties are allowed. They are, however, allowed to have friends over, or go to parties elsewhere. But let's be honest — we think every day would be like a party at the Hype House anyway!

3. You have to be at least 18 years old

Yep, this is probably why 16-year-old Charli D'Amelio (who has the biggest following of the gang) doesn't live in the house full time! You need to be legally considered an adult (over the age of 18) to permanently live in the house. Of course, the other Hype Housers like Avani Gregg and Addison Rae can still come over anytime and chill...err... we mean, make loads of content!

4. You have to pay for damages

In a prank goes wrong in the Hype House and something breaks, it's coming out of your paycheque! Apparently, if something gets damaged or misplaced, you have 15 days to pay for it or arrange to have the same item delivered again. Otherwise, you're not welcome in the mansion anymore and have to say 'byeeeee.'

5. You have to be young, energetic and weird

Yep, you have to be young, but not TOO young to live in the Hype House. But, it's not enough to just be cute and youthful. According to house collaboration manager Chase, you also have to be "have a lot of energy, and honestly, a little weird. The weird influencers get the furthest on the internet." Well, at least we've got the weird part ticked off!
