The Sims Spark'd is a new collaboration between entertainment brand ELEAGUE and Buzzfeed Multiplayer. From what we can tell so far, you cannot just lock your sims in rooms without toilets for amusement. Instead, 12 contestants have to get creative though multiple in-game challenges. Think building the best characters, worlds and even whole plotlines.
If this sounds utterly wild to you, let's remind ourselves fans of the game have logged thousands of hours making custom items, participating in Sims social media challenges and recreated entire music videos in the game. This Sims Taylor Swift one is... quite something.
The show, of course, has some celeb judges. They include musician and songwriter Tayla Parx—who co-wrote a lil song you might know called "Thank U Next" and has an incred sophomore album out—and YouTuber Kelsey Impicciche, who are both big fans of the game. And what are people playing for? A chill $100,000 USD.
The show actually looks kind of low-key emotional from the trailer, which you can watch below. Maybe it's time to dust off our old logins and see how our virtual families are doing?
The four-episode season premieres on July 17th, and you can catch it online at BuzzFeed Multiplayer where each episode will stream on Mondays following the televised broadcast.
