"I am absolutely looking for love, I’m ready for love. I am getting more and more open to being The Bachelorette," Sharna admitted to Entertainment Tonight in November.
TV Black Box claimed: "The contract is dry and she is going to be The Bachelorette."
However, a spokesperson for Network Ten refused to confirm or deny the news.
They told the publication, "We welcome speculation about the identity of the new Bachelorette.
"We are thrilled that so many talented and accomplished women have expressed interest in appearing on the show."
"We are in the very early stages of casting and an announcement will be made in the coming months."
It comes after Survivor star Lachlan 'Locky' Gilbert was announced as The Bachelor 2020.
"As big as I am, I am like a big teddy bear and I fall in love pretty quick... This is an amazing opportunity to hopefully find someone special at the end," Locky told The Daily Telegraph.
"I’m pretty content with my life at the moment. I go on crazy adventures, but I’m doing it all by myself. I’ve got best friends but I want to find that one best friend that I can spend the rest of my life with. This is an amazing opportunity to hopefully find someone special at the end."
