The long post comes after Zech opened up in a Twitch stream about some of the alleged abuse she faced from Morley. Apparently, much of what she said was distorted by Morley's fans, who targeted her online and harassed her. The post is her attempt to set the record straight.
"Bob emotionally and verbally abused me," wrote Zech. She claims Morley yelled at her frequently "for things as silly as not knowing what Akira was," or for sharing her poetry and "having the audacity to think it’s good," and also for "sleeping in too much." She also claims he had a problem with her bisexuality and was furious when he found out, so much so that she was too afraid to mention it again.
She claims that her fear of Morley eventually led her to stop doing things she enjoyed and that she was "gaslit, manipulated, and isolated for three and a half years."
Zech also claims that she was manipulated by Morley and Taylor while Morley was apparently cheating on her with Taylor. (Taylor isn't named in the post, but would be the person she's talking about based on the relationship timelines.) "The gaslighting form those two made me feel absolutely crazy... They both tortured me for months. I once caught them on the cameras we'd had [sic] set up to watch our dogs." You can read the full post below.
Fans have had mixed reactions to the accusations. While many obviously support Zech coming forward, others are looking to Morley for an explanation. "Speak up about the biphobic accusation, Bob," wrote one commenter on his Instagram page. "As a bi women who support you [sic], I’m really upset and disappointed. All your bi fans are really angry and waiting for you to say something. SAY SOMETHING! 😡😭"
Morley has not yet addressed the accusations. However, his wife has made a post on Instagram explaining her version of how the couple got together. "I want to preface this by saying negativity is not welcome here," she captioned the post. "Regardless of the toxic relationships we have endured in the past, we are happily married in the PRESENT. That is where we live and it is wonderful."
According to her, the two were friends first, and she stressed the relationship only happened after Morley was single. While they did get married very quickly, "We weren't trying to break the internet, we weren't trying to hurt out ex partners, we were in love. Plain and simple."
