NSW Police have reported that she collapsed at around 6 pm, and was transported to Westmead Hospital, only to die a short time later.
Police have estimated that the crowd of 11,387 who attended the festival, 146 people were searched for drugs, with 54 found in possession. A further 24 people were ejected from the venue, for intoxication. 28 people were refused entry.
Since the holiday season began, 22-year-old Queensland man Josh Tam also died of a suspected overdose, after taking an unknown substance at the Lost Paradise festival in Glenworth Valley.
In December, 19-year-old Sydney man Callum Brosnan was found lying on the ground at a train station following the Knockout Games Of Destiny festival and died a short time later.
20-year-old student Callum Edwards, who passed away on January 2nd, had also overdosed at the Beyond The Valley festival in Victoria, although, his family has since confirmed that the doctors who treated him found tiger snake venom in his system.
