However, the Look What You Made Me Do singer has shutdown any claim that it’s a dig at Kanye West.
“It is standard practice that releases come out on Fridays and we locked in this release date based on other Universal Music Group releases,” a publicist at Swift’s label tells People. “There is no correlation.”
When fans made the connection between the dates, they took to social media to share their disappointment that Taylor, 27, may have done this purposely.
Shortly after LWYMD was released, fans reacted to the specific lyrics “I don’t like your little games / I don’t like your tilted stage,” saying it was a reference to West.
"The old Taylor can't come to the phone right now/ 'cause she's dead," the 27-year-old proclaims.
In fact that lyric, (which is now her Instagram bio) is most likely a reference to the #TaylorExposed scandal, which all started when Kim leaked a phone call between Taylor and Kanye.
