At the moment we only have a preview of the interview (which airs August 25th), but it seems to confirm that Taylor will be re-recording her old music.
When asked by host Tracey Smith if she'll change up her lyrics, Taylor replies "Yeah, absolutely."
OOFT. GET EM' TAY!
Taylor has already changed the lyrcs to her hit single 'ME!'.
PopCrave reported that on August 21, the song "Me!" featuring Brendon Urie of Panic! At the Disco has been altered by Apple Music.
We would give you three guesses at the offending lyric, but we don't think you need that many.
The boppy upbeat tune had both its lovers and its haters when it was released back in April, but I think we can all agree the moment Taylor shouts, "Hey kids! Spelling is fun!" was not enjoyable.
And it seems upon reflection Ms Swift agrees!
PopCrave has reported that the line "Hey kids! Spelling is fun!" no longer appears on the Apple Music version of the song.
If you're a fan of the original tune, don't worry, 'ME!' is yet to be amended on Spotify on YouTube music video (for now).
As Swifties would know, Miss Taylor had a very good reason for adding the lyric in the first place, explaining to The Hit Network that she added the sentence so as to distinguish the song from being one of her typical love ballads.
"So the lyrics, that’s a tone decision that we made in the studio. We literally were like, okay, let’s say ‘Hey, kids! Spelling is fun’ because we want everyone to know that this song is not really serious because it’s not, like, a serious love song."
Farewell, "spelling is fun," it was brief.
