As soon as the ~teaser~ for Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" music video landed (not the vid, the teaser!) loads of peeps spotted similarities between Tay's vid and multiple Beyoncè vids.
Then when the shade-filled vid actually dropped, more and more Beyoncè shoutouts were spotted such as the following:
People were high-key baffled about why Tay would be shading queen Bey.
But what did Beyoncè ever do to her?
Well, at the end of the vid Taylor's 2009 VMAs self says "I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative," proving that she never wanted to be involved in the dramz but was thrown into it when Kanye stormed the stage with his "Imma letchu finish but Beyoncè had the best music video of all time" rant.
So it's possible that Tay is emulating Bey's vids to throw shade at the beef that Kanye started.
The point of the video is to mock the media/Kimye/EVERYONE'S perception of her, so her take on Bey's vids could be her way of saying "FINE, you think I'm not as good as Beyoncè? Well here's some Beyoncè for ya!"
Just a thought...
