“Swift will be on-hand to work with all four coaches and their teams to provide feedback, suggestions, and praise as the artists prepare for their performances,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
It's not the first time Tay Tay has played such a role on the show. In season 7, she was a mega-mentor. She also went on the show to perform one of her newest songs "ME" with Brendon Urie at the end of season 16.
While this exciting news definitely means we'll be tuning in to the US show, we're also VERY excited for Swift to be bringing her Lover album to Melbourne later this year.
Speaking about bagging the legendary Taylor Swift for Melbourne Cup day, VRC Chief Executive Officer Neil Wilson said:
“To think you can come to Flemington and watch not only the race that stops a nation but see one of the world’s biggest, if not the biggest, entertainer perform for the cost of a general admission ticket is phenomenal. We look forward to welcoming Taylor Swift to our wonderful event in just under 54 days.”
Earlier this month Tay Tay hinted at her Aussie trip when she spoke with the Hit Network:
"Another thing I have to ask is when are you going to come to your favourite down south country?",
radio host Ash London asked.
“Pretty soon, yeah I mean it’s one of those things where I don’t know what’s been announced yet.”
I guess we all have to buy plane tickets to Melbourne now.
