Sophie Wilde as Scout
Playing Eden’s golden child Scout, who returns from studying abroad and has hidden feelings for Hedwig is actress Sophie Wilde.
The 23-year-old trained at NIDA before making her stage debut in Bell Shakespeare’s Hamlet, playing Orphelia. Other roles include short films Bird and Mukbang.
BeBe Bettencourt as Hedwig
The woman at the heart of Eden’s big mystery is Hedwig, portrayed by BeBe Bettencourt.
The Aussie-born, US-raised actress graduated from NIDA in 2018 and recently starred in the screen adaption of The Dry, based on the best-selling book.
"I think because the content is so intense and what we were shooting is so intense, we actually in between shooting had a lot of laughs because I think it was important to lighten the mood," BeBe told Girlfriend of her experience shooting Eden.
Keiynan Lonsdale as Cam
Think Keiynan Lonsdale, the actor behind Eden’s Cam, looks familiar? That may be because the actor has involved in some projects you may have come across in the past few years. Keiynan starred alongside Jennifer Garner and Nick Robinson in critically acclaimed series Love, Simon and in 2015 was part of US blockbuster Insurgent with Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller.
On the Aussie side, he teamed up with Home and Away’s Todd Lasance in US series The Flash (as well as appearing in Legends of Tomorrow) and back home appeared in kids’ TV favourite Dance Academy.
Cody Fern as Andy Dolan
Andy is described as a “local boy turned Hollywood superstar who peaked and fell over the over side” who has an “aching heart and a painful past”.
The man embodying the character is Cody Fern, 32, whose impressive credits include roles on American Horror Story: 1984, American Horror Story: Apocalypse, House of Cards and American Crime Story: Versace. He was also the lead in the National Theatre of Great Britain’s play, War Horse.
Samuel Johnson as Ezra Katz
TV WEEK Gold Logie-winning actor Samuel Johnson will be familiar to many Aussie viewers. Making a name for himself on cult hit series The Secret Life of Us, Samuel has gone on to win acclaim in local shows including The Secret River, Paper Giants 2: Magazine Wars. Small Time Gangsters, Underbelly II, Rush and The Pacific.
His portrayal of Molly Meldrum in 2016 mini-series Molly scored him a Gold Logie before he quit acting to focus on raising money as part of cancer charity Love Your Sister which he founded with his late sister Connie.
Now back in the acting game with his role on Eden, Samuel plays Detective Ezra Kataz, an eccentric, angsty misfit policeman forced to return to his hometown in disgrace after blowing his bigshot career.
