Nicki Minaj was one of only a few celebs who actually honoured the Met Gala theme and she ~slayed~ in this killer geisha-inspired gown.
We reckon she was definitely one of the best dressed at the quirky fashion event on Monday and according to one fan, so did a bunch of media outlets. The fan posted an image on Instagram showing the rapper’s look and 23 publications that ~allegedly~ included her in their best-dressed roundups. Nicki herself even shared the post on her account.
And that’s where things get awkward. Turns out the list wasn’t accurate and fans didn’t hesitate to fact-check and point out that it was fake. According to Refinery29, Nicki didn’t even make the best-dressed list for most of the outlets listed. Nicki obviously picked up on the cringey blunder because she quickly deleted the post but as expected, the screenshots live on.
But it gets more awkward. Not long after Nicki posted her list, Rihanna shared actual proof of everyone praising her Met Gala outfit.
Low-key shade or nah?
This comes after RiRi dragged everyone who didn’t follow this year’s Met Gala theme. They don’t call her Bad Gal RiRi for nothing 😏
