The strict dress code at the the 71st Annual Cannes Film Festival states that there should be ‘no flats’ on the red carpet which, is the reason Kristen Stewart opted for a pair of sky high Christian Louboutin heels for the screening of Spike Lee’s new film, BlacKkKlansman.
The 28-year-old Chanel ambassador wowed in a metallic dress from the French fashion house and black stilettos pumps before ditching her designer heels to clim the steep stairs at the end of the carpet.

Stewart–who is now a jury member for the prestigious film festival–previously discussed the dress code during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in 2017.
“There’s definitely a distinct dress code, right?
“People get very upset if you don’t wear heels or whatever. I feel like you can’t ask people that any more – it’s a given. If you’re not asking guys to wear heels and a dress, you cannot ask me either.”

Cannes is renowned for attracting the world’s most beautiful people for a week of breathtaking red carpet moments. This year’s attendees include; Cate Blanchett, Julianne Moore, Irina Shayk, Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid, just to name a few!
