Imani, our 2016 Girlfriend Priceline Pharmacy Model Search winner has had a huge year in the spotlight, so we checked in to see how she’s handled her newfound fame…
How was your year?
It’s been so much fun and a great experience. I miss doing the group shoots with the other girls (2016 finalists). They were so fun, we just laughed the whole time and loved getting our makeup done and going through all the amazing outfits.
Tell us about your first solo photo shoot?
I loved it! Having my hair done was like getting a head massage every time. It was so lovely!
Best stuff you learned this year?
I gained a lot of confidence. Now I feel so much more comfortable being in front of the camera. I learned how to move better and relax with my pose, and also I’m better at talking to new people, even when I feel a bit shy. I picked up some good makeup tips, too!
OK spill, has fame changed you, or are you still the same girl from the south coast who’s scared of sharks?
Nope, still me. And still scared of sharks!
What’s next?
Actually, I have no idea, I’m just excited to see what the future brings.
Any tips for next year’s winner?
Just be yourself, enjoy the experience and have heaps of fun. I did.
